Niche Marketing and Link Building Resources
The best things about niche link building is that it is (1) highly effective, (2) looks natural, and (3) lets you find targeted audience and like-minded people who will then cite you and link back to your site.
1. Niche social bookmarking networks. When I was just starting a blog, social bookmarking was the first thing I tried to do and it quickly generated other niche bloggers’ response who started referring to my posts and including my site in their blogroll. Therefore I don’t recommend focusing on networks that allow ‘direct follow’ backlinks. Think about this method as an ‘indirect’ niche link building tactic that will help you join the bloggers’ community (i.e. evaluate how active the community is rather than the quality of the submission link).
- Here is a great directory of niche social bookmarking sites sorted by category and popularity. Some of them do not use direct links for submissions, but it is still a good way to attract targeted audience.

2. Find niche forums: here is a great directory of niche forums where you can find your audience and build links. A forum is also a great place to explore what people you write for like and dislike, what they discuss and what writing style they prefer.
3. Find niche directories: there are plenty of directories of directories but most of them are spammed by all possible types of sites other than directories. The one that is of comparatively high quality is ISEDB directory. Also check out Vilesilencer’ list of high quality directories (both general and niche).
4. Let Google update you on the new directories/blogs in your niche: subscribe to Google alerts with ["add link" keyword] search terms (using "Compehensive" type). Get more ideas of search terms using SOLOSEO tool.
